'offside' in football
What is an offside?-explained by soccerlegends
A player is in an offside position if:
1. any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents' half (excluding the halfway line).
2. any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent.
In other ways, a player is considered offside if he or she receives the ball while being “beyond” the second-last opponent (usually a defender). ... *It is not an offence to be in an offside position without the ball.*
A player is not in an offside position if:
1. He/she is in his own half of the field of play.
2.No part of the attacking player (head, body, or feet) is closer to the opponents' goal than the final defender (not including the goalkeeper).
3. He/she is receiving the ball from a throw-in
